At CoffeeForLess, we often comment on the fact that the
community of coffee drinkers that are our customers are the best
part of our business other than the coffee itself. We mean it. We
have had the privilege of working with one of our favorite things,
coffee, thanks to our customers, and we often try to come up with
ideas for how we can give back to
the community that has made us a success.
Recently, we noticed that we are approaching a fantastic
milestone: one million sales! This is a pretty...

All
signs say spring is here. Robins sing from the trees in bursts of
song. Daffodils and tulips poke from gardens in bright flashes of
color. The weather is the sort of uncannily comfortable that erases
memories of snow storms and ice. Soon, though, summer will be here
and with it heat, the same heat that can make many a coffee drinker
decide to opt for iced coffee.
Green Mountain Coffee has heard the cry of
Keurig K-Cup coffee system-owning iced coffee fans and answered
with their line of Brew...

Keurig K-Cup coffee system owners across the country can breathe
a sigh of relief. Green Mountain Coffee, makers of Keurig single
cup coffee systems, have struck a deal with Starbucks to continue
manufacturing Starbucks K-Cups and Tazo Tea K-Cups.
Starbucks released their own single cup coffee maker called the
Verismo, prompting many Keurig system owners to worry about the
loss of access to Starbucks coffees and Tazo Teas in K-Cups. The
two companies struck a deal extending the business...

I was asked
recently why anyone would buy the Hamilton Beach Coffee Makers that
the person asking thought only used Senseo coffee pods. The answer
was not what the person expected. Senseo coffee pods are excellent,
but the Hamilton Beach coffee pod systems do not brew Senseo coffee pods exclusively. As a matter of
fact, these pod coffee makers brew a great variety of single cup
coffee pods.
This is not to say, of course, that Senseo coffee pods are not
reason enough to invest in a Hamilton Beach...

The
words of the day are “chlorogenic acid,” a natural substance found
in green coffee beans. Scientists have been studying this substance
in an attempt to understand its effect on the human body. Multiple
studies have been done on chlorogenic acid, but two were published
in the last few weeks that have potentially huge ramifications for
those who enjoy coffee and those who suffer from either obesity or
type 2 diabetes.
The chlorogenic acid in green coffee beans is a naturally occurring
chemical...

K-Cups
often receive the criticism that they are wasteful in terms of
trash production, a
claim that Keurig has refuted in terms of proportion of waste
produced per capita. Certainly, Keurig has heard the criticism.
Their new Vue single cup coffee maker uses #5 recyclable plastic, a
plastic being recycled in more and more communities across North
America every day, in its inserts.
However, many single cup coffee consumers still feel the need to
find ways to reuse or repurpose spent K-Cups in...

dark coffee, Starbucks Verona Blend Coffee is a blend of Starbucks
Yukon Blend and Starbucks Italian Roast that combines Indonesian
and Latin American coffee beans. It is available for brewing at
home, recently having been added to the Starbucks Coffee K-Cups

multinational provider of gourmet roast coffee and espresso
drinks.

office with your Keurig K-Cup Coffee Maker. Starb...

Quick thinking on the part of a Dunkin’ Donuts employee and
minimal thinking on the part of a would-be crook has taken the
Internet by storm. A failed robbery and hot coffee used in
self-defense make for good water cooler chat, and this Dunkin' Donuts robbery story has it all.
Quick thinking heroism, dumb criminals, and our favorite beverage
standing in as the weapon that vanquished the criminal.
The scene opened on the Dunkin’ Donuts drive through window seen

We’ve been
hearing it for years: electrolytes are key for quick and effective
hydration. Sports drinks advertise them, enhanced water brands add
them, and now coconut water is making a splash by focusing on its
natural electrolyte content. Some swear by the rehydrating power of
coconut water while others just like the taste. Either
way, coconut water appears to be here to stay.
Coconut water is the water that is naturally found within
coconuts. It has been the survival strategy of Robinson...

Gingerbread is a
classic taste of winter holidays. Its
ginger-spiced, molasses-sweetened taste is made into cookies,
traditionally cut into the famous gingerbread man or made into
eccentric gingerbread houses, that are enjoyed around the holidays.
The taste is so popular that it can be enjoyed year-round in the
form of ginger snaps-style cookies.

Do
you absolutely love coffee? Odds are that you love coffee
if you read this blog. Some of us who love coffee very much find
that having a coffee plant in our house is a wondrous way to be
close to the plant that provides our daily perkiness. If you are
that in love with coffee, then don’t worry. You are in good
company. Many people grow coffee at home or even in their yard (if
they have no frost) and find the experience fun and rewarding.
Coffee is a tropical tree that grows well as a bush if...

As
consumers grow more aware of the impact of their consumption
decisions, businesses across the country are racing to find
consumer-friendly replacements for conveniences that most consumers
have come to expect. Not since the battling burger giants’
rejection of Styrofoam has there been such a shift in consumer
expectation.
Today’s cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants have more
opportunity to replace currently expected disposable conveniences
with more environmentally friendly alternatives, and...
