What’s The Deal With Keurig Cup Sizes?

There were a ton of things to consider when I went on the market for a new coffee maker. Most importantly, I needed a machine that made delicious coffee fast. As I was doing research, my mom suggested I go with a Keurig. I found that the machine brews various Keurig cup sizes to which I wondered what the benefits would be to choosing one size over the other.

Size Does Matter

Keurig brewers feature sizes ranging anywhere from 2-5 cup sizes. For example, the Keurig Platinum K75 K-Cup Coffee Brewer holds 4 oz., 6 oz., 8 oz., 10 oz., and 12 oz. cup sizes. The amount of coffee I drink on a particular occasion matters to me, so having more choices is appealing. I don’t like to waste coffee on one hand, but I also dislike when I don’t make enough to quench my coffee thirst.

On those days that I’m looking for just a few sips to give me a little extra pep in my step, the smaller Keurig cup sizes come in handy. Rather than brew a full pot of coffee, I can plug a 4 oz. or 6 oz. k-cup into my Keurig.

Ever Heard of a Coffee Tasting Party?

Plenty of people have been to wine tastings. Now, with a variety of Keurig cup sizes at my disposal, I am able to throw coffee tasting parties. Instead of brewing a full pot of coffee in one flavor, I can offer cups of every size and in many flavors.

I am continuously looking around CoffeeForLess.com to find different flavors made by my favorite brands like Green Mountain Coffee, Starbucks, and Tully’s. My guests enjoy different flavors in large and small servings so they can sample new flavors and sip on old favorites.

With a variety of Keurig cup sizes, I can prepare them a small cup of coffee of their choice. And, if the person takes a liking to the new flavor, I can always pop in a larger 8 oz., 10 oz., or 12 oz. cup to quickly brew a larger serving.

Mom Is Always Right

One of the best aspects of owning a Keurig is convenience and the ability to choose from various Keurig cup sizes. With the ability to make the perfect up each time, I made sure to thank my mom for her advice. As the saying goes, “Mom is always right!”
