Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend is not coffee grown in Nantucket.Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend K-Cups are one of my favorite K-Cup coffees available today, and I feel I should admit that bias up front. It is a blended coffee that is carefully balanced and delicious, so much so that it works excellently in the K-Cup coffee medium. Read on if you are looking for a coffee that brings the best varietals from around the world together.

The best varietals, you ask. Well, I’m glad you continued reading. This coffee blend from Green Mountain Coffee does indeed bring together three world-famous regions’ coffees and puts them all into a single cup of coffee for you to enjoy.

By combining African coffees’ fruity, wine-note tones with the bright, citric flavor of American coffee and the full-body of hearty Indonesian coffee varieties, Green Mountain Coffee's Nantucket Blend creates a hybrid cup one might describe as an elegant composition.

Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend Coffee Sounds Good But How’s It Taste?

In a word, lovely. I’m paid to write a good number more words than that, though, so let us unpack this artful coffee blend.

Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend Coffee K-CupsWhile I generally prefer more bold flavors, this medium roast blend appeals to me far more than many of its medium roast peers. The reason is the smoothness of this blend. It reminds me of a good saxophone solo, smooth yet piquant without being overwhelming at any point. Medium, while it sounds as if it suggests “mild,” does not really do this blend’s taste justice. Nantucket Blend has citric flavors but a balanced acidity and has complex, roasty undertones without bitterness. The aftertaste is even fairly pleasant.

The body is a bit fuller than most medium roast coffees but carries a smooth mouth feel. It is at once full without being overwhelming.

Aroma-wise, Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend is deceptive. It is mild and does not allude to the complex yet balanced flavor that awaits you in the cup. The aroma might convince you that Nantucket Blend is light, even mild, but don’t trust your nose.

I enjoy drinking this coffee a single cup at a time with Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend K-Cups. It carries through to the cup well. You might think this blended coffee is just too easy to drink to be as complex as I’ve suggested, but be sure to give it your full attention at least once. It is Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend’s artful composition that makes it so pleasant that you can drink it regularly and forget just how great it is.
