I was asked
recently why anyone would buy the Hamilton Beach Coffee Makers that
the person asking thought only used Senseo coffee pods. The answer
was not what the person expected. Senseo coffee pods are excellent,
but the Hamilton Beach coffee pod systems do not brew Senseo coffee pods exclusively. As a matter of
fact, these pod coffee makers brew a great variety of single cup
coffee pods.
This is not to say, of course, that Senseo coffee pods are not
reason enough to invest in a Hamilton Beach...

K-Cups
often receive the criticism that they are wasteful in terms of
trash production, a
claim that Keurig has refuted in terms of proportion of waste
produced per capita. Certainly, Keurig has heard the criticism.
Their new Vue single cup coffee maker uses #5 recyclable plastic, a
plastic being recycled in more and more communities across North
America every day, in its inserts.
However, many single cup coffee consumers still feel the need to
find ways to reuse or repurpose spent K-Cups in...

When it comes
to single serving tea brewing, the community is divided between
those who love the ease and convenience provided by T-Discs and
K-Cups and those that feel some finesse is lost when tea is put in
individual serving pods and brewed through a single cup coffee
maker. For today’s post, we are not going to debate the merits of
analog tea steeping versus digital single serving tea brewing and
instead focus on which single cup system is best suited to meet
your tea drinking desires.

Starbucks has
announced their new single serve coffee maker, the Verismo, and
many are wondering if Keurig will soon have a serious competitor
for their Keurig K-Cup systems. The truth of the matter
though is that the Verismo is more similar to the Tassimo T-Discs coffee makers already on the
market. While Keurig holds much loyalty in the single serve coffee
maker market, the Verismo may well give Keurig stiff competition
thanks to the mass brand recognition of Starbucks.
The Verismodoes not...

Many beverage
consumers think of coffee when they think about single serving
pods, but tea pods are a great way to brew a single serving of tea
without the need of a separate kettle. Tea pods are also faster to

you value your time, then tea pods are a great way to enjoy tea
quickly and efficiently.

for optimal steeping, and tea pods represent an advance in tea
steeping...

like Starbucks before them, coffee pods and K-cups have
revolutionized the beverage world, allowing at-home coffee lovers
the same high quality roast they normally buy in cafes.
With a small initial investment, daily coffee drinkers can reap
hundreds of dollars of value using single serving machines made by
manufacturers like Keurig and Tassimo. Whereas K-Cups remain
a popular, albeit less environmentally friendly option, coffee pods

not a new image to most anyone, but the appearance of tea pods
might be a new sight to some. Tea pods are almost exactly the same
as tea bags but lack the iconic dunking string and tag familiar to
most American tea drinkers.
Tea pods also differ in that they are
specifically calibrated to make a great cup of tea in a specific
brewing device, rather than the usual single cup dunking procedures
for which regular tea bags are designed.
Today, we discuss the many tea options available...

their specific branded coffee makers, many coffee pods are capable
of being used in any pour over or drip coffeemaker.
