One of my favorites
I LOVE this coffee.....It is soooo smooth and always a good cup of coffee with great flavor. This is my "go to" cup since I know I can always count on it being a great cup of coffee!

We have had our brewer for over 2 years now. My husband drank the Tully's house blend until he tasted this coffee and I have been buying this ever since.

better than healthcare reform
if this tells you anything, i'm on autoship for a case of this amazing elixir every 30 days. dont let the name fool you, it's bold but also comforting. if you love yourself a cup'a dunkies - THIS IS YOUR K CUP! Starbuck drinkers - keep looking - this is not your coffee. I have hooked more people on this coffee that they prefer the K Cup to the drive thru unless they're looking for a donut or Coolata. It's worth trying, I have a feeling you will thank me!

Excellent choice
A friend of mine suggested that I try this K-cup, and it was a good suggestion. The flavor is not one that is overwhelming, and the aroma as it is brewed is wonderful. It is a very mild blend, compared to Kona, and it is one of the perfect breakfast or even mid-day coffees I have tasted.

I've used this coffee for several years and love it. There's no sugar in it... I think the "sweet" refers to one of those flavor elements that only professional palettes can discern. I taste no sugar and no coco... only a really good cup of coffee.

To be truthfully honest with you, John, I buy this coffee for my wife. Though I have had a few cups, I couldn't detect any sweetness OR a touch of cocco and I drink my coffee black with no sweetners.
The only indication of any ingredients (on the box) is that it contains 100% Arabica Coffee. I guess to be on the safe side, I'd contact the manufacturer, Diedrich Coffee, Inc. at 1-800-354-JAVA or check it out on their website: coffeepeople (I'm not allowed to include links to other sites).

John, I agree with the other responders that the sweetness is a flavor quality rather than the result of added sweeteners. I don't taste any sweetness in the coffee, but I do taste other complexities in the taste related to the beans and the roasting method. I hope these answers reassure you that you can enjoy this blend in good health and with a clear conscience!

There are no added sugars in any of the Coffee K Cups made by Keurig. When the description indicates "sweet" with hints of "coco," these are just descriptions of the subtle notes and flavors inherent in the blend, similar to how wine connoisseurs would detect hints of things like "apple" or "cherry" in a product that is clearly only made of grapes.

I'm not sure where you read this coffee is sweet with a touch of cocco, but it doesn't...at least not the regular "Coffee People Donut Shop." It's a good tasting coffee, medium flavor...not too strong, not too weak. We like it, that's why we've been buying it all along. My sister's a diabetic and I wouldn't worry about giving this to her.

Hi... As I'm reading about the different coffee brands on the coffee 4 less website the description for this brand states "sweet, with a touch of cocoa and caramel". As someone else suggested this is like a wine and the grapes used give off the hint of different flavors, so I'm thinking that this has something to do with the beans being used.

Thanks Stephanie.... I'm type II and I know when going to Dunkin Donuts that the only flavored coffee that I get is French Vanilla as I've asked and I do believe that is the only flavored coffee that is not sweetened. After reading the description of the Donut Shop coffee, which states "sweet, cocoa and caramel flavors", I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for your response.

I have bought the Medium Roast, XBold Original Donut Shop Coffee made by "Coffee People" for years and I have never tasted any sugar or sugar products in the coffee. If there is a "touch of cocco" in there, it is not obvious or noticeable. At least not by taste. I can't speak for you, but as a Diabetic, I do not have a problem with this product. Hope this helps. There is no sugar in this coffee. I do not use any sugar in my coffee and could NOT drink coffee that has sugar. This is my favorite coffee, it tastes perfect for me. I do use one K-cup and brew it twice for the medium size. That produces a 16 oz cup of perfect coffee for me.

Hello Michele, that's what I'm hearing... There is no sugar or coating on the coffee. You said that you use this K-Cup twice for a 16 oz cup of coffee. Doesn't that make the coffee weak? My Kurig machine makes several different sizes of coffee, so are you saying I should set it on the 8 oz and brew it twice?

I have been buying Coffee People Donut Shop K-Cups for years and have never noticed a description of the coffee as a "sweet blend with a touch of coco". It certainly does not taste sweet at all. It actually is a somewhat stronger coffee blend.

I am not sure of the content of the coffee, but I can tell you that it is a bit sweet. We've had our Keurig for 2 years and it's our favorite K-Cup, followed closely by Millstone Foglifter.

The K cups in my house don't stay around long. I order a case at a time roughly every 4-6 weeks. Their freshness certainly lasts that long. I've never had a problem with stale coffee. In the few instances where I have ordered a specialty coffee to try and may have had a few K cups around for several months their freshness was still there.
We store our K cups on an open shelf near our coffee maker and have never had a problem with them. We take no special precautions in storing them, but would advise to keep them out of direct sunlight and out of the flow of an air source such as an open window or an air vent. Apr 16, 2013

I have been buying this coffee for about two years now, and the 96 count lasts my husband and me about a month. I have never had any problems with lack of freshness. I keep them in a basket right by the coffee maker once I open the 24-count box. The unopened boxes are stored in my pantry. Each K-cup is sealed tightly, so I have never encountered any stale coffee.

We use these all the time. Most of the time we use up the kcups so fast that they don't have a chance to lose freshness. In some cases we've had kcups around for several months without noticing any lack of freshness. We haven't had a bad kcup yet!

That's a difficult question to answer since coffee doesn't last very long in my home...I'd say the longest we've had it was a month, and it was fine. As far as where to store it, I put the boxes in a closet.
