OK machine, very good espresso
My previous experience is with aother brand of superauto machine. It gave good service, but repair @ 4 years was difficult and expensive: I opted for a new machine.
this machine makes very good espresso: excellent flavor, very good crema.
do NOT like steaming wand: I seldom use foamer for cappuchino, only steamed milk for lattes. Once the part for making foam is removed, there is still a plastic part attached by friction to the steam rod: this can come off unexpectedly, leading to search in hot milk to reattach and continue steaming. Also hard to clean. my previous machine had one piece stainless rod; dismounting the foamer left a long and easy to clean rod.
Water container is small with a small fill opening: hard to use a pitcher to fill, if filled in place, or faucet, if taken to sink. If used for one or two double espressos, half the water in the reservoir will be used for rinse, when turned on and turned off: need to refill often.
coffee bean hopper is small: if the demo video is used as a guide, will hold enough for 3-4 doubles: can be overfilled (on top of the grill plate in the hopper) with impunity, though. purity over convenience, I suppose.
like adjustability of 1. amt of water used, 2. amt of coffee used per dose. pucks are solid and firm, but again, the puck container needs to be emptied often.
