We're long-time lovers of Millstone coffee and have never found the beans we've tried to be bitter or acidic. That's why we stick with Millstone. We do , however, favor a lighter roast and/or flavored coffees, and as such, our current favorites are Vanilla Nut Cream and French Vanilla (decaf). Hope this is helpful. We live in Alaska, and was difficult to obtain Millstone beans until we found CoffeeForLess, which is very responsive to our needs. We can make do without a lot of things up here, but we get really grumpy without our coffee! Enjoy!

Try the Bed and Breakfast blend. I too like a bold flavor without being bitter. I haven't tried the Millstone Colombian Supremo but sometimes the Colombian blends can be a little bitter. I used to be able to get Millstone at Kroger but they stopped carrying it and couldn't find it at any other supermarkets in my area. I now purchase the bed and breakfast blend from Coffee for Less in 5# bags, pour it into sealed containers upon arrival and it's as fresh as the day it arrived down to the last bean. You won't be disappointed!

Millstone Breakfast Blend has been our every day coffee of choice for several years. It is a brown bean coffee, smooth to the palate, yet provides an aromic and pleasing flavor. It serves well as a morning or after dinner coffee. However, it does not have the "bold" flavor I associate with a black bean coffee or typical NW Starbucks type coffee. We get many compliments from guests that normally drink coffee that range from Folgers in a perkalator to those that buy dark bean coffees.

Although what I bought was the K-Cups & not the whole beans, I feel very confident to speak about Millstone quality. My purchase was the Breakfast Blend which is very comparable to Colombian Supremo. Rich, smooth, delicious, & satisfying to taste. The smell is simply a tease for the joy that your taste buds are about to experience. No need to worry about a bitter taste, there is none. You have made a great choice & you will be deeply rewarded. Both in coffee & company choice.

I purchased Millstone Fog Lifter which I beleive is similar to the coffee you are asking about. It had no bitter taste and had a bold flavor. It was actually a little more bold than I thought it would be but after a couple of cups it was what I was looking for. I am very fussy about my coffee and if it was bitter or acedic I would be asking for an exchange. I hope this helps you in your decision.

We started ordering Millstone Colombian Supremo Coffee Beans from "Coffee for Less" because we couldn't find it in the size we wanted. We love the robust flavor and have never considered it too bitter. I order two 5 pounds bags at a time so we don't run out.

I've been buying the 5# bags of the Millstone French Roast and love it. Strong but, to my and my wife's taste, not bitter. Mind that we like serious coffee unlike so many Americans. My sister is a wimp and mixes our brew with about 50% hot water!

I have not tried the individual beans, but any coffee brewed to strong will be bitter, also a good filtered water will make Millstone colombian supremo the best coffee you have ever had. ( It is a blend of many Millstone beans.)

While I haven't had the beans, I have had their Foglifter K-cup. It is our house favorite for bold flavor. No bitterness. It's what you crave on those certain mornings. Good luck. Mike in Chicago.

Columbian supremo is not the least bit bitter or acidic from the top of the pot to the bottom. It's not a terribly bold flavor, but it's not a dark roast. it is a wonderful cup of coffee.

Millestone Hazelnut Cream has a full and smooth flavor. I combine it with Columbian Supreme to make a great flavored coffee. I do half of each per pot.
