Of all the coffee I've bought everyone agrees, this
is the best flavor and aroma, like a coffee shop
drink.
Our Keurig maker is new & we've tried all the sample varieties that came with it. By far, this is the best! We love bold, dark, rich coffee flavors and this delivers.
Dark Magic is easily one of my favorite coffees. I get up at 0430, and I require a coffee that serves as a military bugle, not one that calmly eases my senses into an awakened sense of Zen. It has a rich, bold taste. And good news! If you have coffee laying around that is too bland for your pallet, you can mix it with DM, and it will be quite enjoyable.
This is a bold coffee but not bitter. I put my cream in before adding the coffee (usually using the larger size setting on my machine) and it makes the cream very frothy. It reminds me of the chicory blend at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans! Very satisfying.
I was given a machine and was skeptical at first; most of the samples were pretty watery, weak, without much body. I'm used to brewing my own Starbucks at home, grinding fine and using a paper cone. If one is used to Starbucks, this would be the place to start. While a dark roast, the roast does not overcome the subtle flavors in the blend. It is as enjoyable a K cup as there is, although tied with Black Tiger for my top pick. I did pick up one of the cups which allows you to use your own coffee. I tried my own Starbucks and was not as happy with that as I am with the Dark Magic. Add to that the ease and convenience of the K cups, and I just ordered a case of this and a case of Black Tiger.
I really enjoy this cup of coffee. I like a stronger cup of coffee in the morning and afternoon and a lighter sometimes flavored coffee in the evening. If you are looking ofr that get up and go aroma, you will find it with this coffee.
I'm a huge Starbucks fan, but this coffee is a pretty close second. If they would add just a little more coffee to their k-cup, it would be just about right.
