best for espresso
ive had this machine for 3 years .which disc's you choose makes a big difference..I like Gevalias espresso and decaffeinated espresso..but gevalias regular decaf sucked..The decaf espresso was the first one that i can drink at night and still get sleep..also makes good iced coffee and cappuccino.
Teas are good but pricey.. the new hot coco, made with milk is a grand child favorite..I use the drip machine in the morning (kona coffee) and the tassimo for specialty drinks..The kuerig can not make cappicino or espresso.

Solid Purchase so far
Received this unit as a gift from my parents (they got a Keurig unit before xmas, then got the tassimo as a gift tsk tsk).
The overall product seems a little plasticy, but that's expected of a fairly inexpensive single cup unit. Agree with other reviewers about the back mounted carafe being annoying to fill if you're space limited. The filter did a decent job with water from the tap, the family used it to quickly heat water for hot chocolate without the normal "tap water" complaints. The sensor for the cup size seems to be a wee bit iffy as anything below a half inch from the nozzle didn't sense the size of cup. Standard travel mug size will require one brew cycle, then standing there holding the button in while it continues to fill. Being a virgin to these types of machines, it was pretty easy to figure out with the longest delay just running through all the cleaning before use. The coffee's I had to try were Gevalia Carmel Macchiato (5 stars), Starbucks Espresso Roast (4 stars), Seattles Best Breakfast (4 stars), Starbucks Cafe Verona (4 stars). The real issue is the utter non availability of the "T Discs" from anywhere but Tassimo's site or online. This will probably change over time, but the only way to get the discs on a frequent basis is from the Tassimo site. There is a "Direct Delivery" program if you get totally hooked on the blends. Amazon.com did have some 2 packs deals (same cost as Tassimo's site), but not all flavors available.
